Shattered Dreams !

I just like the lyrics of this song from the film Om Shaanti Om.
Yes I am talking of Dreams…
Don’t we all see dreams which we wish some day we will get fulfilled.
Some dreams get fulfilled and some just whiter away even before they can even bloom.
They hurt don’t they …the ones that whiter away.
Why do they hurt …they usually get replaced with a new dream, don’t they?
At times just small hurdle makes us give up on a dream…it actually doesn’t whiter away
We let it die coz of our fears.
Why does the hurdle challenge us, why we remember our past failures and give up out of fear?

When the heart really says “Hold on my friend, there is something that will happen if u trust, surrender and let things happen.”
May be the dream may come true in ways you didn’t expect but its not worth giving up yet !

it is not as much fear as the insecurity of social rejection of our actions that force us to KILL many dreams. more than the lack of courage it is the possibility of a social backlash(either from near and dear ones or society in general) that discourages us from pursuing those dreams.

but the important thing to understand is that a dream lost is an opportunity to dream a better one, to work towards a better one and maybe make a better one come true.

and even the pain that we SEEM to feel at a dream dying(being killed, because dreams never die until they are killed), is merely the potential satisfaction upon its fulfillment that we feel we are missing(like a profit lost because of our castle-in-the-air collapsing).

and finally if everybody let all of their dreams be fulfilled, there would be so few dreams in this world. a dream is a door, one that you can open or wait so that it opens itself into another.(this line just struck me,because very coincidentally i happen to be sitting in front of my scribbling book attempting to write a poem titled 'Dreamcatcher')
